Drop it like it’s hot
Once again, today brings us an opportunity to drill a piece of a difficult movement and then apply it to the full movement in our WOD. The snatch balance is all about dropping fast under the bar and engaging our shoulders to stabilize it immediately. This is not easy, especially if we are not comfortable with an overhead squat. It can be a little frustrating at first, but in the long run the benefits we get from this drill are immense. So be ready to move fast and then use this concept when we squat snatch a fairly heavy barbell 30 times…

Snatch balance: 25#, I think I’ve only done this move once before so I just spent time getting comfortable.
