This Saturday (4/5), we will be running the memorial WOD dedicated to firefighter Michael Kennedy and Lt. Ed Walsh who fell in the line of duty last week while responding to a fire in Back Bay.  This will take place during our regular 10 am invasion class.  There is a suggested donation of $10 which we will send directly to the Walsh Kennedy Memorial Fund.  The WOD can be found here (scroll down to the section labeled 3/28/14) if you’re curious as to what it will be (we will scale everyone appropriately as always).  CrossFit is all about community and not only were both of these gentlemen part of our local community, Michael was a fellow CrossFitter and coach at CrossFit Together.  We welcome one and all to join us as we work out their memory.

STR:

Push press

5-5-3-3-1-1-1

WOD:

10 cal row
5 burpee box jumps

Been a while since I put anything here, but it was a good morning, so here I am.

Push Press: 180# This was a 15# PR. And it’s been a long time since I PRed anything overhead.
WOD: 8:58 RX. This one was a lot of fun, but I felt terrible afterward. Those burpee box jumps are no joke if you go for speed.

PP: 175# Felt like a PR but Dan reminded I’ve gone heaver. felt good.

WOD: 9:39, I should of paced myself but went balls to the walls from the gate and lost time after the 4th round.

    PP: 45×5, 95×5, 135×5, 155×3, 185×3, 205×1, 215×1, 225×0 (f), 225×0 (f)
So close on that last attempt.

    WOD: 9:17 RX
Took it slow and deliberate on the burpee box jumps. Didn’t want a repeat of last time. Despite that, I enjoyed this one. I could’ve probably gone for another 8 rounds.
