One of the (many) great things about CrossFit is that it’s constantly evolving through taking the basic prescription of constantly varied functional movements done at high intensity and applying it in the countless different ways that the thousands of CrossFit affiliates choose to.  It’s truly a community driven movement.  The things that work and produce results start to show up more and more in programming and the things that are less effective show up less and less.

Today’s WOD was taken directly from the mainsite (www.crossfit.com) and is indicative of a theme that’s been showing up there quite a bit recently – some irregular interval work with two or more movements.  In a lot of ways this looks similar to some of the Tabata workouts we’ve done in the past, but the different lengths of time of the intervals has a much different impact on our system.  As per usual with prescribed rest, do your best to get to work as soon as it ends and be ready for it to go by faster than you might think.  This is sure to be a fun 20 minutes.

STR:

Press
3-3-3-3-3

WOD:

with a 20 minute running clock:
1 minute ME cal row
rest :15
30 seconds ME pushups
rest :15
