Heavy doubles and another oldie
We repeat workouts on a semi-regular basis. Classic CrossFit benchmarks are often what we go to, but not always. Today we’re repeating not only a great WOD from a couple of years ago, but the whole day’s programming, including the 6×2 high bar back squats. So if you were around in 2012, you’ll be able to see what almost two years of CrossFit can do for your abilities. And if you weren’t, well who knows… I like this WOD a lot – maybe it’ll show up in 2016.
STR:
High Bar Back Squat
2-2-2-2-2-2
WOD: (see 6/6/12)
8 rounds
5 KBS (2/1.5)
8 BJ (30/24)

IIIIIII remember this one…. this was first programmed back when I actually liked Kb swings.
Awwwww how cute I didn’t know what a high bar back squat was.
What the hell are BJs? Certainly not what I think they are.
That’s what you think!
(Box jumps, gutterhead.)
OOHHHHHH!!! Yeah that makes a lot more sense than what I was thinking.
I had the same reaction….
HBBS:
warm up- 45×5, 95×5, 135×5, 185×3, 225×2
working- 255, 270, 280, 290, 300 PR, 310×0(f)
WOD: 8:51 with 40kg KB (1st half 30″, 2nd half 24″)
HBBS:
warmup: 5×95,125,145
working: 2×165,185,195,205
Decided that was enough.
WOD: 6:53 with 1.5pd KB. 30″ box jumps are too far for step down (for me), so I eventually started hopping down.
Good work, 5pm.
Got this work done over weekend –
