Strength training is a key component in developing our physical capacity.  Our general approach with the strength portion of class is to increase weight across all of our working sets until we get to a max for the day.  Today’s approach will be to warm up to a heavy weight that we sit at for all five sets.  This will allow us to work through more volume at close to maximal loads which can greatly help us break through the plateaus we might find ourselves hitting after consistently just shooting for a 5, 3 or 1 rep max.  Don’t be shy with your working weight; choosing a very challenging load is key to maximize the intended stimulus.

STR:

deadlift
5-5-5-5-5
sets across (90-95% of 5rm)

WOD:

5 rounds
10 burpees
30 double unders
