Getting complex
Olympic lifting can teach us a lot. On the surface, it consists of some explosive, highly athletic movements that are often quite intimidating at first. While working on them certainly helps develop power, speed and strength, they can also teach us a lot about how we tend to use our bodies and how we can use them more effectively.
The complex we’re working on today will take some time to get through. Recognize where you need tension, but at the same time see how relaxed and comfortable you can be moving through this series, espeicially when you warm up. We expect to struggle at our max weights for the day, but if we’re struggling when we’re warming up (which can be quite common for these movements), see if you can find a better (easier) way before immediately jumping heavy in weight.
