spinning Cindy
Cindy is great and all, but very mechanical in many ways. We took the basic concept for today’s WOD and broke up the machine-like quality she has. We still get a pull, a push and a squat, but the squat is now getting us to the floor, the pull is now on a rope and the push is a deliberate attempt to start taking our body weight pushing movements in new directions (it’s the first step to this ). And this version is a little shorter. You’re welcome! =)
STR:
front squats
5-5-5-5-5
WOD:
AMRAP 15
15 deck squats
10 rope pullups
5 hand-reverse (planche) pushups

STR: 135#
WOD: 5+6.
Pushups felt weird, but easier than regular pushups.
STR: 115#
WOD: 5 + 19, regular PU on a 24″ box
STR: 115#
WOD: 6+21, regular PUs on a bench
STR: 175#, last rep was epically ugly
WOD: 7+4, scaled (up?) to 15 one legged pistol deck squats, 1 legless rope climb, 5 planche push ups. Might have been able to get more but Wes was being a jerk and barking first at the weird humans rolling around on the floor, and then at JT, and then at the motorcycle. So I took multiple breaks…
I look forward to reading the comments here and always wish more people posted…so I guess I should also post?
STR: 145#
WOD: 8+25 I think Rx, if that included the not-strict, jumping rope pull-ups.
Really liked this one. Except now my back hurts. Boo.
Yessss!!!! Welcome to posting!!!!!!
Jenna, that’s exactly why I started posting on the blog too! Also, the early morning folks never get to see the whiteboard, so it’s nice to have lots of blog comments to read instead.
STR: 135#. Wasn’t really feeling it.
WOD: 7+8.
Like Jenna, I also enjoyed this one. At first the push ups felt awkward but once I did a couple I actually enjoyed doing them.
