Being explosive when snatching is a key part of a successful lift. If we don’t align and direct that energy well, however, we can be as explosive as we want and we’ll never land a snatch. For our work with this lift today, we’re going to make sure we’ve properly braced and loaded before we fire by pausing with the bar right below the knee on the first two reps of each set. For the third, we’ll move straight through, attempting to hit the same powerful hang position without the pause, allowing us to bring more momentum to the rest of the lift.
