I pick things up and put them down

We pick up heavy things here all the time. It’s good for us. Our strength work today is to get up to a heavy single in our deadlift. This isn’t necessarily a 1 rep max, but it might be. It will certainly be good practice for the bracing we’ll want in place for the farmer carries in the WOD. We’re going a bit further than we often do with farmer carries, so be sure to keep your spine long and your middle tight so your shoulders can sit back in a good place and keep you grip deep from the beginning. The looser your grip is early, the faster it will fatigue.
Schedule update: There will be no gymnastics class next Wednesday, 6/8. It will continue the following week. I invite you all to use this time (which is still open gym) to come in and practice what we’ve been working on!
