It’s a very leggy day today, so we’re going to want to give them every advantage possible.  Focusing on how they connect to the rest of our body will make their job a lot easier.  A tight midline and solid shoulder engagement will make both the back squats and the box pushes last much longer.  And let’s not forget how much the timing of the upper body makes us jump better.

STR:

High Bar Back Squat

4-4-4-4-4

WOD:

AMRAP 8
3 BJ (24/20)
2 push ups
25′ box push

Don’t forget to sign up for BATTLE FOR BOSTEROS!

UPDATE: Due to some logistical issues, CrossFit Boston is no longer able to host for this event (but athletes from that gym are still welcome to sign up!). The comp will be begin on Saturday July 30th at JP CrossFit and ending Sunday July 31st at CrossFit Somerville.

ALSO this upcoming Saturday we are opening up our Saturday Invasion WOD to help support member, Eric Ehmann. Eric will be running in the Chicago marathon to help support Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in memory of a friend who has last the battle to cancer. He hopes to raise awareness for the disease and cancer prevention and early detection. We will be running a the WOD “Fight Gone Bad“. It will still be our regularly scheduled Saturday class with a suggested donation of $10.
