Tri playing new sports

We’ve recently added Calvinball to our class schedule on Saturdays. With all the technique specific training we do this gives us a chance to use that athleticism in play.

One of our own athletes completed their first sprint triathlon this weekend! Niki swam half a mile, bike 12.3 miles, and ran 4.4 miles in just over 2 hours! The time we spend in the gym is valuable, but so is going outside and using all that hard work to move your body in different ways and try new things.

Mel and Niki are doing another triathlon in October just incase anyone wants to join 🙂

Today you’ll have a plenty of chances to use our hips to drive weights to our shoulders today. We’ll be applying this idea to both a barbells and dumbbells.

Strength:
Hang power clean+ 2 push press+ hang power clean

WOD:
7 Rounds
5 Dumbbell Hang squat clean (35/25)
5 DB push up + row
100m sprint
