Feeling the Burn

Deadlift Day! Everyone <3 Deadlift Day, right? Going for sets of five, this time with our familiar old emphasis on controlling the bar down to get a lot of time under tension in our training. Kiss those plates gently to the ground, and keep your core tight all the way along the way to make it happen. The WOD will then help you translate all that midline stabilization into useful action - we'll be throwing DBs overhead in a heavy snatch and our core needs to stay strong in order to translate big hip action into a crisp snatch overhead... especially for 30 reps at a time. One of the larger installations at Burning Man 2016, these lighthouses were placed deep in the desert, away from the city. At night the beacons called visitors to them.

STRENGTH:
Deadlift
5-5-5-5-5

WOD:
AMRAP 14
30 DB snatch (60/45)
30 box jumps (24/20)
30 CTB pull ups
