Getting Weird

First off, I want to remind all of you that THIS SUNDAY is the big Charity WOD for the Jimmy Fund that is being put on by one of our members, Nelly! Find details at this link and if nothing else, just show up SUNDAY at 11am for the workout followed by beers and grilling. Good times.

(You can also just make a donation at this link, but that’s way less fun than doing a workout with us.)

Lots of interesting things in the workout today, folks. For the bench press (!), focus on lifting well and moving fast. Once we get to the workout, we’ll be re-aligning those shoulders with some balance work and inversions – the scale for shoulder taps will be kicking up to a handstand rather than going to planked shoulder taps. JT and Nick will give you all you need to know about the subtle differences in a KB Snatch versus last week’s DB Snatches, and then we’re running… 330m? What? Well, the sidewalk on our 400m is still closed at the top of the hill, so we’ve got a new route to play with.

At this point, no one should be surprised that we’re going to keep mixing it up. 🙂

Strength:
Bench Press x5

WOD:
4 Rounds for Time
* 10 Handstand Shoulder Taps
* 10 Kettlebell Snatches (LEFT arm) (16kg/12kg)
* 10 Kettlebell Snatches (RIGHT arm) (16kg/12kg)
* Run 330m

I had to bring this one back, Nelly.
