Gotta get up to get down!
Snatching is hard. It’s by far the most complicated thing we do with a barbell, asking so much from our mobility, stability, strength, explosiveness, balance and so much more. We’ll have a while today to find our sticking points with this lift – the weak links in the chain. This might be any number of things. Our set up will challenge our ability to keep our spine long and lifted. The middle of the lift will ask us to connect an explosive hip drive to a dramatic pull with the upper body. And the end… Who doesn’t love the challenge of overhead squatting? Find your weak point and drill it. The WOD has us doing light power snatches – keeping things a little simpler for the sake of moving fast.
