The new and the old

As the year comes to a close, we often look back on what’s happened in the past year and start thinking about what we want the next year to look like for ourselves.  In terms of the gym, we’ve been seeing a whole lot of you all starting to look ahead with the goal board.  I encorage you all to also look back in your notebook to this time lat year (or if you weren’t around then, the beginning of your book) and give yourself credit and even just the awareness of the progress you’ve made in the past year.  Looking back often makes our path forward clearer.

Our work today mirrors this old/new idea.  Our strength work will be new for many of you, but it will be easy to build if you look back at some of the fundamental structures we use in other lifts.  And the WOD is super simple, movements you’ve learned within your first few weeks here.  It will be a clear reminder that things don’t need to be complex to be effective.

Forgot to look at my notebook but searching the blog I found a couple of improvements:

    Press: Dec 2015 – 85#, Dec 2016 – 115#
