Post-Murph Pairings
Thanks to everyone who came out for Memorial Day Murph yesterday – it was an amazing experience that we won’t forget, and there were a ton of people doing their first Murph.
We have lots of Magic Time coming up, because Kirstie is on vacation for the next three weeks. For this week though Mel is still around before heading out on vacation herself, so if you’ve been interested in taking a class with her you can check out the mornings with me – I’ll be there coaching some and supervising some as she continues her path to becoming a coach we’ll all be proud to have.
Today’s workout is designed to be a good post-Murph pairing: light on the legs and big on the hips. It’s all about our explosiveness, spring, and ability to quickly rebound each movement! We’ll be working on that full front rack position in our Push Presses for strength, and emphasizing our ability to string together reps. By the time we hit the WOD you should be comfortable with that range of motion and ready to bang out 20 reps with an empty bar each round.
Don’t get complacent with the S2OH, though – if you don’t really use those hips your shoulders will tell you about it!
