Summer Fun
It’s a beautiful summer we’re finally having – and there’s no better sign than the big happy crews that come in on Sunday to Open Gym. The atmosphere this Sunday was an absolute blast, and it’s great to see so many people enjoying their Sunday with some fitness and friends. I was squatting and pressing in the corner, Kirstie and Mel were throwing down one of next week’s WODs to test it out, Pua was O-lifting in the corner… there’s a little bit of everything going down on Sundays.
If you haven’t been in to check it out, come by in the next few weekends! There’s loads of people to play with and lots of fun WOD ideas floating around, or you can just get your bonus lifts on while your other friends play in the background. It’s ideal summer fun!
Speaking of summer fun, we’ve got a great session to start out your week here. It’s all about big hip action, so we’re keeping the rounds short and the movements explosive. Make sure you get your balls into the blue paint!

Str: 80#
WoD: 9:07, 20#, TTB, 80#. The power snatches added up quick for me.
STR: 35#… worked on setting my feet and not going all ballerina on overhead squats.
WOD: 6:35, 16#, TTB, 65#
STR: 95#
WOD: 9:16, started at 85# but it proved to be too heavy on the third round so I changed it to 75#; 14 WB; sort of TTB
