18.2
For any of you who wonder why we do “flip” days, 18.2 is a good answer – it’s exactly that, with a tighter time cap.
We’ll start with a quick burner of a couplet, followed immediately by finding a 1RM clean. The Open standard for this is to complete both with a 12 minute cap. This means the faster you do the WOD the more time you’d have to find your max clean.
In classes on Friday, we won’t be holding you to this cap, but we’ll be encouraging you to transition quickly from the WOD into your cleans. You’ll have the rest of class time to work up your cleans, but we’ll leave the clock running so you can see where you’re at when we reach the 12 minute mark. Chances are you won’t feel in the opportune state to lift your heaviest. Embrace the challenge – it’s where the adaptation lies.
