Zombie Readiness
Zombie Preparedness is a bit of a running joke here (albeit with more running during the summer months). If you’re looking for a chance to put your zombie readiness to the test, have a good time with friends, and maybe pick up a few more preparedness skills, check this out!
A group of folks is hosting a Zombie Apocalypse Game right here in the Union Square area on Saturday, September 15. You can find out more and register a team to play at zombiegame.splashthat.com – it sounds like it could be a fun time, and I’m sure that a CrossFit Somerville contingent would be great!
Hope you all had a lovely Labor Day. Here’s to the Pullman Strikers and the ARU, and all who went on strike since!
For the workout today, it may not look like a direct assault on your midline engagement, but this workout is sneaky tough. Stay focused and fast – the short sets will help you maintain technique and keep you moving. We’ll have plenty of time before the WOD to brush up your snatch form as well!
WOD:
5 Rounds for Time
20 Box Jumps (24/20)
10 Toes-to-Bar
5 Power Snatch (115/80)
WoD: 13:50 @ 95# and alternating TTB & knees to chest to maintain a semblance of a kip (except round 5, where I strung 5 TTB in a row together, which I was very pleased with).
WOD: 12:33 @ 85#
WOD: 14:22 @ 95#, TTRings
WOD: 14:29 @ 85# and TTRing
WoD: 14:I-forget-but-about-the-same-as-Nadav-I-think @ 95# and TTRing
