Yes, I know tomorrow is Friday. But I wanted to let y’all know I will be taking over SATURDAY class!!! Nick is out of town so I will be running mobility and I will also be running the Saturday class. GET READY FOR SOME FUN Y’ALL, it’s going to be a Mel take over!
Here is what we got for you tomorrow:
AMRAP 15
10 Handstand Push ups
20 double dumbbell front rack lung steps (50/35)
30 Double unders
Tomorrow we will spend the bulk of the time getting upside down and finding a scale for y’all for handstand push ups. We’ll want to pick a scale that you can maintain 2-3 reps at a time of doing, that might mean shortening the range of motion, doing pike push ups, or maybe dropping the reps a little.
Let’s talk about these lunges, they are some heavy lunges and we want them to be! When I tested this work out I did the lunges unbroken, except for the last round. I was being stubborn, I did not want to clean them back up to my shoulders. I took the lunges slow though – kept a steady pace and paused after rep 10. I am however conditioned to heavier weights. If you need to break them up that is okay! Weather or not you break them up or keep them unbroken, they will jack your heart rate up which makes getting to and through the double unders a real treat! Today’s work out is a slow burn and a little bit of a gut check all at the same time! It’s a fun one y’all!
