It Only Gets Better From Here
Solstice was this weekend, and even on the shortest day of the year the weather was lovely. It only gets better from here – every day will have a bit more sunshine. Similarly, if you keep putting in consistent effort and make good dietary choices your fitness will get a little better each day, too.
Today I offer you the opportunity to squat heavy in preparation for your days off, and to really put all that newfound shoulder strength to work.
For the sandbag pushes today, you’ll be keeping an active shoulder and torso bracing as you drive with your legs – and then shift to stability-in-motion as you use those shoulders to climb up the walls.
After that… if you’re still in town, I offer you a few nice Christmas presents: a Saturday-style WOD tomorrow at 10am: we’ll be doing the Festive 50… and on Christmas Day, an hour of Open Gym at 9am to let you catch up on workouts you’ve missed or just do some supplemental lifting. That should go nicely with (some of) your annual traditions of Chinese food and a movie.
