Open 14.2 Announcement
We had such a great time hosting this year’s first open workout at CrossFit Somerville that we’ve decided to keep hosting the workouts at home rather than traveling to Fenway for some of them. The energy of the crowd was great and we seemed just the right amount of full. So barring something crazy, we’ll have the same format this week – athletes should arrive no later than 11am (recommended earlier to warm up as long as you’re out of the way of the class) and spectators should arrive at 11. We’ll email all the athletes details by tomorrow at noon. Let’s get at 14.2 with the same positive energy and community vibe as we did for 14.1!

Front Squat

WOD:
8 rounds (4 per side, alternating rounds one arm at a time)
8 KB cleans (great video on the clean with good and bad examples)
8 KB front Squats
100′ waiter walk (see this video for proper overhead position)

FS:
warm up- 45×5, 95×5, 135×3, 175×3
working- 205, 225, 245, 265×1 (f)
WOD: 9:29 with 1.5pd
Left shoulder definitely felt more stable.
FS: 145#
WOD: 9:12 (first 4 1 pd, rest 3/4 pd)
Failed at 155# and the hecklers Statler & Waldorf behind me let me know about it 😉 Switch to 3/4 pd because it was difficult keeping 1pd OH without hurting my wrists after fourth rounds, C&J and squats were fine.
