Jack
We had planned on doing a hero workout today, but it seems that fate has made our timing apt. Veteran, Firefighter, and CrossFit Coach Michael Kennedy passed away battling a 9 alarm fire in Boston yesterday, March 26. We send our condolences to his communities at CrossFit Craic, Crossfit Florian, and Crossfit Together.
Our thoughts are also with the family of Lt. Ed Walsh and the rest of the crew at E33/L15. We mourn your loss and will support you however we can.
On a (somewhat) lighter note, this will be KP’s last day of regular classes. She’ll be coaching all three morning classes if you’d like to get in a workout with her before she moves on to her new endeavor. And if you happen to miss the morning classes, don’t worry! She’ll be hosting a party Saturday night to commemorate the end of this year’s CrossFit Open. For more details, email KP at kp@crossfitsomerville.com. Hope to see you there!
*REMINDER: Saturday we will be hosting the lat CrossFit Open workout at 11am. We’d love to have a huge showing of CFSVillians to cheer on those competing. This one’s a doozy!
