CrossFit can be a pretty daunting thing.  There are seemingly endless different ways we use our body to move loads or ourselves through space, and then we combine them in a slightly different way every day.  It’s no wonder it can be an intimidating program to start.  But once you get into it a bit, you start to notice patterns.  Some things you’re good at and others probably need some work.  Hopefully, at some point you become inspired to not only set goals for yourself, but to take it on yourself to engage them outside of our regular class time.

In an attempt to foster this, we’re taking the Wednesday at 5PM timeslot and making it open gym time.  This will be a time weekly that any member can come in and work on their goals, goats, or whatever else moves them.  It won’t count towards your weekly class limit and there will be a coach present to help guide you and answer any questions you have.  Those of you who have been enjoying barbell club during this time will still be given olympic lifting programming to follow if you wish.

So stop by Wednesday, even if you’re not sure what you want to do yet.  We’ll happily help guide you on your path.

    STR: 55#
WOD: 7 rounds with 24″ box pushups and 3/4 pd, but at least one of those rounds with 1 pd kb snatches. Thanks for pushing me to try the heavier KB, JT!

    Weird Wod: 3 rounds w 12kg KBs, then 3 rounds + 3 w 16kg KBs.

Ariella was a fine partner in crime.

Snatch Complex: 145# Did it twice to work on form. Had some strength left but first time back over a month need to let me body regain its strength without injuries.

WOD: 7+8KB @ 1.25 Pood. I looked at the 1.5Pd and felt like a million pounds. Felt good to be Back, forgot how it felt to workout being sore….Missed it (SIke).

  5. Rich says:

Snatch balance complex: 175, nailed 185 but then lost my balance on the way up, leading me to do the gumby dance before dropping it. No one saw, and the world is worse for it.

WOD: Shoulder was pinching, so just did kb swings instead of snatches: 7+
