A repeating pattern
Those who came in last Thursday should recognize today’s strength programming. We’re doing the same three position work that we did for the snatch last week, only this time for the clean. We’ll be working on first dropping fast from the high hang, then making sure we hit the high hang as we clean from just above the knee and then finish the complex with a touch and go full clean from the ground (which, it should go without saying, should still hit the hang and high hang positions on the way up).
As much as this will build strength, more importantly it will build habits. Whether these are good or bad habits is up to us. If we push the weight higher than we can keep controlled, we’ll just be reinforcing old habits – most likely ones that are not allowing us to reach our true potential. So saddle up, get focused and let’s move some weight!
STR:
3 position clean (reverse order from video)
High hang, hang (above knee), floor
WOD:
EMOM 12
3 squat cleans
*increase weight every 3 minutes if appropriate

Clean complex: 45, 95, 125, 135, 155(f), 155, 165, 175, 185, 195, 205
WOD: 175# for first 9 mins then 185# for remainder
I should’ve listened to Nick and started out heavier.
Str: 65# – There were more impressive efforts going on around me!
WOD: 65# – I concur with Travis, who was surprised by how taxing this was.
clean complex: 65, 75, 85, 95
WOD: 10 rounds at 105#, 2 rounds at 115#
