Taking your Mobility “Siri”ously
The other day I asked Siri what I needed to work on in preparation for this year’s CrossFit Open.
Her response was, “Alot”. F U Siri.
But in all honesty, she’s right. And the one thing that tends to slip people’s minds is how their bodies are actually moving. How are we feeling day to day- Post WOD intensity. You’ve been learning a shit ton of new stuff, all of which directly impacts our body’s ability to recover and do it all over again. The more we take on new movements, more weight, more distance; the more important it becomes to keep our flexibility and mobility in good working order. If something hurts TELL ME, if something is sore, grab a pain toy and loosen up those nasty bits. You can’t just expect your body to come back day after day %100. Sorry, not gonna happen; unless we take it upon ourselves to put some work in. Progress is beauty, and the magnificence of that lies in the struggle to become better.
