And now for something a completely different… Today, we’ll be finding a 20 rep max high bar back squat. While this will certainly test our strength and endurance, the true test here is between the ears. If the weight is right, you legs will be screaming, your heart will be racing and the only thing keeping you going will be the voice in your head. It’s up to you to choose to keep going. Let’s see what you’re capable of.
STR:
High Bar Backsquat
20 rep max!
Warm up your squats for 5-8 minutes and take no more than two attempts at a 20 rep max back squat. This is all mental.
WOD:
3 rounds
1 minute ME pull ups
1 minute ME burpees
1 minute ME push press (75/55)
1 minute rest
*score is total number of reps

My legs have gotten increasingly ornery over the course of the day. Sick workout, bro.
Strength: my 1rm is 220#, 3rm #185. 1st set of 20r @ 135#. Went spicier for 2nd set of 20r @ 150#.
Wod: 124 (40, 41, 43) w red band, 55#. Burpees or bust!
