Cindy
So I had jumped the gun a few weeks ago when we were finishing up our last cycle, hinting that we might be testing a WOD with a lot of pull ups and push ups now that we have spent 6 weeks working on them every day. After a short respite, here’s your chance! 20 minutes will give you plenty of time to see how all of that slow moving through our full range of motion on these movements translates to high volume work.
STR:

WOD:
AMRAP 20
5 pull ups
10 push ups
15 air squats

Book Donations
Abigail Russo is collecting donations of books and magazines for the Boston Medical Center. We have reserved a cubby at CrossFit Somerville with a sign to drop any donations. See below for details from Abigail:
The Boston Medical Center (the hospital associated with my workplace, the BU School of Medicine) is constantly seeking donations of books and magazines for its waiting rooms. If you want to get rid of books you don’t need (non-academic, please – nobody wants to read your program evaluation textbook) or relatively recent magazines (less than four months old), feel free to give them to me to pass along! There’s an 85% chance that I’ll donate them and not keep them for myself.

CINDY! It’s been too long.
STR: 115# (135# for two; another few times and I woulda had it)
WOD: 12+9 Rx (up from 9+15 Rx on 5/4/14)
I feel like I spent most of those 20 minutes near the bottom of a pushup staring at the floor.
STR: 35#. Working on form, really struggle with squatting with the bar overhead.
WOD: 16 rounds even
Pull Ups – Blue and Red bands
Push Ups – 7 rounds strict, 9 rounds with 20″ box
Str: worked on getting low in OHS
WOD: 11+21 with ring rows, 30″ box. I see from trolling the blog that I did 11+22 with Gr&bl band pullups, 30″ box pushups on 5/14.
Dang Nice improvement, Ben!
