Choose your own v.2
Continuing with our thoughts on the importance of making conscious, active choices as part of our training, today’s WOD offers an unorthodox approach to engage this.
The inherent goal of an AMRAP is to accumulate as many reps as you can. They generally dictate the number of reps you must complete of one movement before switching to the next. Today, we will not be doing that. It will be up to you when to switch from one movement to the next, with the caveat that you must do each set of each movement unbroken. For wallballs, once your first squat starts, you and/or your ball must be continuing to move through the range of motion of a wallball. Likewise, once your kettlebell starts moving, it must continue to move through the full range of motion. Once either ceases, that set is over and you should move on to the next movement. For pullups, the set is over once you take your bodyweight out of your shoulders by letting go of the rings or bar or by sagging at the bottom of a ring row. Allowing the movements that you are strong at carry more of the volume will help keep the intensity high.
