More Open Prep

I sure hope y’all are in the partying mood. Saturday night is our anniversary party at the box from 6-10pm. I’ll have snacks and an open bar with bartender to keep us supplied, and I anticipate games and music and antics. I’ll also be lighting myself on fire for your amusement. In addition, I do plan to have a way set up to see the Patriots playoff game that starts at 8:15, so there’s no need to feel conflicted about your evening.

The workout today is from 2012. Nick remembers doing this one with me and EB and Brian Hack way back in March of 2012 at the box, and it was a fun one. It’s all about your ability to cycle the reps efficiently, so we’ll be spending the first half of class warming up the movements and working on our efficiency moving from one rep to the next. Spoiler alert: it’s all about bracing and being in good positions.

    8+12, w/24 inch jumps; 65# push press; & knees to chest. Can push it to 70# or maybe 75# next time. TTB not in the repertoire yet.

    Always room to improve. Not as awful as 16.5 last week, but a bruiser nonetheless
