Boston came up big this weekend backing up Black Lives Matters (and decent humans everywhere) by showing up and saying “nah, we’re all good” to white supremacists. The pictures of the marching crowds are great, but I’m going to share this one today. Many thanks to Jon, Adam, Mike, Kevin, Alisa, Rachel, and Andrew who came out with me and added their strength to the effort – and thanks also to the members who stayed back and offered to help us if things had gotten hairy.

Today in class we return to Deadlifts, but not on the clock. Well be going for sets of 5, but with plenty of rest between – so keep raising the weight and try to get heavier with them today.

After we’re done with that, it’s a spicy 10 minute AMRAP that’s all about accuracy. We’ll be aiming to hit our chests on the bar for the pullups, and it doesn’t count if you don’t hit the target! (As always, we’ll be scaling appropriately.) Likewise, we’ll do 10 broad jumps each round from one plate to another, so be nimble and stick the landing on your target. Finally, we’ll do 15 plate snatches from the ground to overhead – and keeping that jump nice and vertical will make sure that plate lands right on target and is easily stabilized overhead.

So keep your eye on your targets, get focused, and there’s no telling what you can do.
