A Little Addition
We like taking traditional workouts, combining some elements, and producing a new edition with a little of both. Today’s strength work is like that: you’ll be doing front squats, but you’ll need to Clean (or Power Clean) the bar off the floor to get into your starting position. Then there’s some extra midline work to explore in between sets too!
For the WOD, it looks a lot like “Fran” – but the stabilization element of using DBs will be a bit new, as will the addition of a sprint row at the end of each round. It won’t go as fast as Fran, but don’t dog the row – let’s get this done in less than 12 minutes.
Speaking of little additions, congratulations to Nick and his wife Shereen! They welcomed their own this week with the birth of baby “Sonorous Stella Salem” in the wee small hours of Monday morning. We’re all excited for them and eager to welcome another gym baby into the fold! Nick may be teaching a few less noon classes over the next few weeks, but he’s still happy to be here and will be a regular on the schedule.
