Skills Night
Starting in February, I would like to run a couple skills nights per month. In order to try and structure this, I need everyone to make a list of skills that they would like to work on (i.e. Kipping, Muscle Ups, Double Unders, etc.). If you are interested please let me know.
Strength: Press 10-15-10-15
WOD:
Row 1k
30 hand release pushups
50 deadlifts

Muscle Ups – I’d like to get a muscle up. I realize now that what I need to work on most for that to happen is the ring dips.
Hand Stand – Not sure if hand stands (not against the wall) are part of crossfit, but that’s something I also want to work on.
Double Unders. I finally felt competent at singles during the Friday WOD, so doubles seem in the realm of possibility now. I think the rope I’d been using was too long.
Also into Muscle Ups, but I probably need to work on strength before skill is really an issue.
i would love a skills night. there are PLENTY of things that i need to work on, but i’d love to be able to do a muscle up at some point.
i’m down in DC visiting my sister, and dropped in at CrossFit Praxis last night for Cindy.
15+4Rx, which is a huge PR for me. Last time at the end of July I did 11+8Rx, so I’m really happy. I still have plenty more to go, because my push ups fell apart 2 rounds in.

WOD: 7:12 @ 135#
My Goat Herd: Kipping pullups (regular and butterfly); Handstand work (would love to be able to hold myself up unsupported); Muscle Up (and more ring work in general); Pistols (would like to get the cheat plate out from underneath my heel).

–muscle ups (err, pullups and dippies and is there an intermediate step between those things? I also have some strength to work on before skill here…)

–HSPUs (no, really, i want to be able to touch my head to the floor…this might be another strength thing…)
–rebounding box jumps (like, before the newbiefitter? I’m painfully slow at these currently!)
–can we play on the rope more? wait, that wasn’t the question….

kipping & double unders! Also I have decided that 2012 is the year of the overhead squat for me (aka start to move some legitimate weight).
